Is there a theme this year?
No, the committee have decided there will not be a theme again, as we do not want to deter people
from entering. Anything goes!
Where can I get an entry form from?
From The Bell or the village shop. Just return it to the pub, shop or pop
through the letter box of 27 Towgood Way. If you are unable to get hold of a form please email
GPscarecrow.festival@yahoo.com.
Do I have to use straw in my scarecrow?
No, absolutely not. But if you do want to, College Farm have very kindly offered to donate some again this year.
How do I enter a scarecrow into the competition?
A completed entry form is required in order to be eligible to win the prizes, and this form must be returned by 10th September. You will then be given an official entry number that needs to be
displayed near your scarecrow for the week, so that people can vote for your creation.
Does it cost me anything to enter a scarecrow into the competition?
It is still completely free to enter. So, enter as many as you want!

How will my scarecrow be judged?
The visiting public will vote for their favourites all week using the voting slips available on the village
map / scarecrow entry list. People will be asked to vote according to the three categories listed.
These votes will be counted by the committee on the afternoon of Sunday 22nd September and the
winners announced at The Bell pub and via a Facebook live feed.
(Please note, entrants can only win one category).

At 3pm children 11 years and under are invited to come in fancy dress to the Bell carpark. No theme, and free to enter! There will be some great prizes to be won!

Celebrate with us at Paxtonfest! Dive into the heart of the Great Paxton Scarecrow Festival, transformed for a weekend into a beer lover’s paradise.
